Professional Resumé

The job market remains competitive and having a professional resumé tailored for your preferred role and industry is extremely important. Having a high quality visual impact resumé can improve your opportunity for short-listing.

Cover Letter

A cover letter is becoming more prominent and employers will generally specify requirements in a job advertisement. If you include a tailored cover letter, written in the same writing style as their resume, this can increase your chances of being short-listed.  A cover letter can be job specific or in a generic format that you can adjust later to suit different positions.

Selection Criteria

Local, state and federal government employers require applicants to address selection criteria in a job application.  Julie has a 85% success rate for short-listing as her experience encompasses over 16 years with state and local government.

  • You will be asked to provide specific written examples that demonstrate how you meet each selection criteria.
  • The STAR method is used for writing these examples and your Q&A worksheet will have a list of questions in order to extract your experiences and achievements.
  • Julie then structures the document into a logical response, using wordsmith and keyword techniques that clearly address the selection criteria and job requirements.
  • All selection criteria applications are completed via email.
  • A minimum of 7 working days’ notice is required, prior to the closing date of the job application.

LinkedIn Service – Profile Updates

LinkedIn is the world’s largest professional network with more than 4 million members in Australia. If you are not already on LinkedIn, you are missing vital networking opportunities. Julie can work with you to create a new profile and as part of this service, you will get:

  • A professional profile that highlights your strengths and achievements.
  • Updated summary, including personal brand, headline, skills, job roles and successes.
  • Tips and advice on how to use LinkedIn to access the hidden job market.
  • Julie will send a short worksheet that contains specific questions regarding your profile

Suitable for individuals with 5+ years work experience applying for non-management, operational, technical or professional roles:

Leaders Pack – Suitable for people who are applying for senior/executive positions, project management or IT management roles:

Professional Resumé: $475
Cover Letter: $95
LinkedIn Writing Service: $395
Selection Criteria (approx. ½ page per response): $100 per criteria

  • Payment must be received in full via bank transfer or PayPal, prior to documents being emailed.
  • Julie will contact you for additional information about your skills, experience, job preferences, advertised links and email through a Q&A worksheet.
  • Julie will then prepare a draft for you and email it to you in Microsoft Word format.
  • Once you have reviewed the draft and requested any changes, Julie will prepare a second draft.
  • Once you have reviewed your second draft and requested any further changes, Julie will prepare the final version and email through a PDF and Microsoft Word copy.

All fees quoted include up to 2 revisions of your first draft (based on your original request only). Revisions for any written document, including LinkedIn profiles, letters, bios and resumés, must be requested within 2 weeks from the date of your first draft. Any further revisions will incur an additional fee.

How quickly will I get my resumé?

Julie offers a turnaround of 5 working days, unless otherwise specified at the time of quoting. If you require documents earlier than this timeframe, please check with Julie for availability.  An express fee of $75 will apply for resumés only.

Due to the many factors that contribute to whether a candidate will be shortlisted for a role, Life Path Career Coaching cannot provide any guarantees that you will secure a position as a result of engaging our writing services.
